'Tekken 7' Celebrates 10 Million Units Sold With New Custom Items And Features Including Streaming Mode

Tekken 7 returns to its gameplay roots with classic 1 vs 1 bouts and its canon storyline centered on the eternal struggle for power amongst the members of the Mishima clan.

With newcomer Kazumi Mishima joining the fight, the epic battle between father and son, and also husband and wife, will come to its fated conclusion in Tekken 7. The supposedly killed wife of the main protagonist of the series, Heihachi Mishima, is also the mother of Kazuya Mishima. Her powers will be key to understand the feud between Heihachi Mishima, his son Kazuya Mishima and his grandson Jin Kazama. The conclusion of the Mishima clan saga is sure to be dark, but also sweet for early PlayStation fans as the origins of the Devil Gene, among other Tekken mysteries, will finally be unveiled.

Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Tekken 7 sets a new standard in graphics quality for the series, featuring highly detailed characters and dynamic environments. In its first appearance on home systems, Tekken 7 features numerous modes and enhancements beyond its arcade counterpart, including an in-depth story mode that lets players fully experience the canon storyline. Players will also be able to check out new fighters Kazumi Mishima, Claudio, Josie, Shaheen, Katarina, Lucky Chloe, Gigas, and more for the first time outside of the arcade.

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced a new update coming to Tekken 7 adding features including Streaming Mode, new customization items, and enhancements to character selection. The new Version 5.10 patch is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam). The company also revealed that Tekken 7 has sold 10 million units globally, announcing the milestone via a message to fans of the long-running fighting game franchise.

Following are patch notes for the Version 5.10 update:

Streaming Mode: Streaming Mode is now available in the Game Options. When Streaming Mode is switched on, the online ID/gamertag of the opponent on the VS screen and the battle screen in Ranked Match, Player Match, and Quick Match will change to the character name.

New Customization Items and Expanded Character Selection: A range of new customization items are available in the Character Panel Set. On the Character Selection screen, players can now save their favorite character and costume combination and select it with one button. Also added is a feature that remembers the last costume that was selected within each play session.

Modified Tournament Settings: New modifications to Tournament Settings are now available in Game Options. When Tournament Settings are switched on, players will not be able to use the following character selection features in Versus Battles: "Favorite" settings, character costume selection, or last costume saved.

Updated Connection Status Info Display: Changes to the connection status info display include addition of information showing the processing load of the PCs used in the match as well as text formatting enhancements.

Tekken 7 is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
