Planet Zoo is the ultimate zoo simulation featuring authentic living animals, rich management, and limitless creativity, players can build and manage a truly modern zoo where animal welfare and conservation comes first.

From the makers of Planet Coaster (2016) and Jurassic World Evolution (2018) comes the ultimate zoo simulation, featuring authentic living animals, rich management, and limitless creativity. Build and manage a truly modern zoo where animal welfare and conservation comes first.

Planet Zoo presents the most authentic animals in videogame history. From playful lion cubs to mighty elephants, every animal in Planet Zoo is an individual who thinks, feels and explores the world you build around them. They care about their surroundings and each other, with complex environmental and social needs. Nurture your animals throughout their lives, study and manage every species to see them thrive, and help them raise young to pass their genes onto future generations.

Manage your own zoo in an expressive world that reacts to every choice you make. Focus on the big picture or go hands-on and look after the smallest details. Thrill visitors with prestigious animals and famous exhibits, develop your zoo and research new technologies, and release animals back into the wild to repopulate the planet.

Frontier Developments announced a brand new expansion for Planet Zoo. Players can welcome a plethora of fascinating wildlife from steppes, plains and prairies across the world with Planet Zoo: Grasslands Animal Pack, arriving on PC via Steam on December 13, 2022 for a suggested retail price of £7.99/$9.99/€9.99.

Planet Zoo: Grasslands Animal Pack brings eight unique new species to the game. Introducing the Nine-Banded Armadillo, with its extraordinary armour; the Maned Wolf, with its impressively long legs; the curious Emu, with its recognisable grey plumage; the agile and illusive Caracal; the alert Red-Necked Wallaby; the scavenging Striped Hyena; and the striking Blue Wildebeest.

In addition, zookeepers can choose from a stunning assortment of five colourful species of Butterfly to populate their Walkthrough Exhibit, including Cloudless Sulphur, European Peacock, Menelaus Blue Morpho, Monarch, and Old World Swallowtail. These flying insects can be kept together as Planet Zoo’s first ever interspecies-compatible exhibit animals.

New animations, such as the Nine-Banded Armadillo’s preening and sniffing, the bounce of the Caracal’s floppy ears as it prowls through the grass, and the juvenile Red-Necked Wallaby’s playful interactions, are also bound to keep even the most discerning zoo guests entertained.

Zookeepers can also test out their management skills thanks to an enthralling new Career scenario set within the picturesque grasslands of Argentina. Players will help wealthy socialite Tiffany Summers - who also featured in the recent Twilight Pack scenario - to earn her zookeeping permit. They’ll learn more about the important roles of animal care and conservation as they work to relocate the diverse inhabitants of her mansion grounds to a more suitable new home.

Alongside the pack, players will also enjoy a free base-game v1.12 update, which brings with it a range of extras, enhancements, and quality of life updates, including all-new Guided Zoo Tours. Perfect for maximising both guest satisfaction and profit, zookeepers will be able to set their tour schedules, balancing animal talks with breaks to keep guests educated and energised. A new Heatmap tool displays guest visibility for each habitat, while a new terrain option in Sandbox mode provides an ideal set-up for budding builders to capture dioramas for their favourite animals.

Unleash your creativity with the next evolution of Planet Coaster’s best-in-class creation mechanics. Craft stunning scenery and habitats, dig lakes and rivers, raise hills and mountains, and carve tunnels and caves as you build your own zoo. See your animals and visitors respond to your creative vision, and share your designs with friends in Planet Zoo’s online community. Bring the world’s greatest designs home to your own zoo for your animals and visitors to enjoy.

Planet Zoo is available for PC (Steam) at £34.99 / $44.99 / €44.99 with a bevy of DLCs.
