'World Championship Boxing Manager 2' Includes President Teddy Roosevelt As Playable Character

World Championship Boxing Manager 2 is a sports management simulation game that puts you in the role of boxing and business manager.

World Championship Boxing Manager 2 is the official sequel to 1991’s World Championship Boxing Manager and will offer players a winning one-two punch of business tycoon and boxing simulation gameplay.

This iteration not only captures the essence of the original, but expands upon it, offering updated visuals, deeper gameplay with RPG-like skill selection, and new characters based on former pro boxers Rocky Marciano and Sugar Ray Robinson.

World Championship Boxing Manager 2 features retro-tastic 32-bit styled visuals and modernizes the series by adding dynamic lighting, a tighter boxing simulation engine, an updated interface, and more fights than you can shake your glove at!

The boxing world is at your fingertips in this deeply detailed and outrageously entertaining sports management simulation. Enlist competitive fighters, recruit top-notch staff, and ride the hype train all the way to endorsement city! Watch it all play out in the ring as your fighter takes the throne…or takes a fall.

World Championship Boxing Manager 2 adds a stadium’s worth of new features via Twitch integration for streamers. Various features allow a streamer’s chat to activate a variety of in-game effects. For example, “Viewer Controlled Crowds” can push the in-game crowd to perform cheers, chants, or animations like “the wave.” Similarly, audience members can buff or debuff the streamer's (or the opponent’s) stats and strategies!

Did you know there used to be a sort of “fight club” in the White House, and it was led by a well-known American president?

Ziggurat Interactive is going to tell you all about Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt, his love of boxing, and his habit of challenging White House visitors. Also, Teddy is one of the boxers you’ll encounter in World Championship Boxing Manager 2!

President Theodore Roosevelt was a boxing fan long before he sat in the White House. Roosevelt was a member of Harvard’s boxing and wrestling clubs, and while he never took the title of “Champion” in either one, he still enjoyed both sports and continued to participate in boxing after leaving school. Unfortunately, his love of challenging people to box him at the White House would end his career — as a US Army artillery officer, Capt. Daniel T. Meade delivered the blow that detached Roosevelt’s left retina, leaving him blind in that eye and forcing him to retire from the sport. Speaking on the subject, Roosevelt said, “...the sight has been dim ever since… Accordingly, I thought it better to acknowledge that I had become an elderly man and would have to stop boxing.”

While that was the end of his boxing story, you’ll be able to encounter the boxing president in World Championship Boxing Manager 2!
