'Children Of Morta' Online Co-op Update Coming To PC Later This Month, Consoles Later - Trailer

by Rainier on Feb. 4, 2022 @ 10:11 a.m. PST

Children Of Morta is a story-driven hack-and-slash roguelike game that involves players in the adventures of the Bergson family.

The Bergson family has watched over Mount Morta for generations as the guardians of the mystical mountain. They now face their most dangerous trial as a family. Corruption has spread, morphing the once peaceful mountain into a violent and monster infested nightmare.

An emotional roguelike with gorgeous pixel-art, Children of Morta combines a powerful narrative of familial ties with intense hack-and-slash gameplay in an ever-changing world. Choose the best character for your playstyle, craft new items for your adventure, and fight to restore peace to the land.

Experience what it means to be in a family of heroes. Take part in their journey, their struggles, and their victories! Witness a love for eachother unmatched by even the gods themselves. Fight through hordes of monsters unimaginable as you explore a mountain constantly in flux. Gorgeous and breathtaking procedurally generated dungeons guarantee a unique experience every time you leave the safety of the Bergson’s house in pursuit of the truth behind the Corruption.

11 bit studios and Dead Mage will mark the last update on the Children of Morta Development Roadmap with the release of The Fellowship Sanctuary for PC (Steam) on Feb. 14th, 2022.

The final of 8 free updates to the rogue-lite adventure is highlighted by the online co-op mode allowing for two valiant warriors to team up against the ever-oppressive Corruption together.

While Steam players will be able to enjoy online co-op on Feb. 14th, the Dead Mage team is still hard at work on bringing the same experience to consoles. In efforts to assure the same quality across all platforms, the development team is adamant to get everything right before releasing it. We don’t currently have a release window on this update, but endeavor to keep all our valued console players in the know as development continues. We truly appreciate our community’s continued patience and support in this matter.

Alongside the Feb. 14th release, Children of Morta will be enjoying a free-to-play offer on Steam so anyone can try the game for themselves.
