'Fortnite' Chapter 3 Season 2 Finale Event Planned For Next Week

by Rainier on May 26, 2022 @ 9:22 a.m. PDT

Fortnite is an expansive original world that invites players to be creative, resourceful and collaborative, combining building skills and destructible environments with intense PvP combat.

In Fortnite, players and their friends lead a group of Heroes to reclaim and rebuild a homeland that has been left empty by a mysterious darkness only known as “the Storm.”

Players will band together online to explore the world for resources, build extravagant forts, find or build insane weapons and traps as they protect their towns from the strange monsters that emerge during the Storm.

Fortnite Battle Royale is the FREE 100-player PvP mode in Fortnite. One giant map. A battle bus.

The last one standing wins.

Buckle up – we’re on a collision course towards an exciting finale players won’t want to miss and a brand-new Season ahead!

The fate of the Zero Point will be decided in this one-time, in-game event - “COLLISION.”

This event will require all hands on deck, so squad up in a party of four and strap in for go-time. The “COLLISION” playlist will be available in Fortnite 30 minutes prior to the start time for players to suit up.

“COLLISION” takes place on June 4 at 4 PM ET and is a one-time only, in-game event. Content creators and players wanting to relive their daring moves and heroic experiences should take steps to record and archive the event since Replays of it will not be available.

To get amped up for this end-of-season event, everyone who logs in on June 4 starting at 8 AM ET will receive an exclusive loading screen and lobby track. And in the days leading up to “COLLISION” stop by the Item Shop and try on the Mecha Weapons Team Outfits, or lookout for June’s Fortnite Crew reveal so you’re sure to roll up with the squad in style.

Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) and Nvidia GeForce NOW services let you play Fortnite via cloud streaming on your PC web browser or mobile device!

What To Finish Before “COLLISION” Makes Landfall

With “COLLISION” marking the end of Chapter 3 Season 2, players will want to wrap up any remaining Quests and unlock all desired rewards before June 4 at 4 PM ET. This may include:

  • Completing Prowler’s Special Quests
  • Gathering any remaining Omni Chips to unlock variants of the Omni Sword pickaxe
  • Trading in any remaining Battle Stars in exchange for rewards

Note that any unused Battle Stars will be automatically redeemed for the earliest available rewards, but unspent Omni Chips will be lost when the season ends. As with any season, — Quests and rewards from Packs like the Golden Touch Quest Pack will carry over to the next Season.

Starting on May 31 at 9 AM ET, Bargain Bin Week kicks off once again and cuts the cost of all Character services and Exotic item trades for all your remaining Bars. Remember, your Bars will expire at the end of the season. Make it rain!

Strap in for a wild ride in “COLLISION.”

Fortnite is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Android and iOS.
