With the end of Season 2 drawing ever closer, 343 Industries want to provide you with an update on the future of all things Halo Infinite.

Joseph Staten, Sean Baron, and Brian Jarrard sat down for a roundtable discussion about the current state of the game, priorities, and player experience goals. Also covered is the upcoming “Winter Update,” Season 3, and other features (such as the Forge Beta and Campaign Network Co-Op) which you can check out in the video above.

In addition, we have also updated the roadmap for what’s coming in the Winter Update and Season 3, featuring new maps, modes, weapons, armor, and much more.

343 Industries revealed that going forward it wants to focus on Halo Infinite's live service and has made the decision to abandon local campaign split-screen co-op.

What the developers ARE working on is the Winter Update, promising to be Halo Infinite's biggest update yet, scheduled for November 8, 2022 and will feature Forge (Beta), new 30-level battle pass, new Covert One Flag mode, two new maps (Argyle and Detachment), online campaign co-op and mission replay features, as well as match XP (Beta).

Additionally 343 Industries revealed that Halo Infinite's Season 3: Echoes Within is currently scheduled to kick off on March 7, 2023 and will include another two new maps, new VIP and Escalation game modes, new armor cores, a custom game browser and the Bandit Rifle.
