'Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr' Launches Offline Mode Today, Hierophant Class DLC In October - Trailer

by Rainier on May 23, 2024 @ 3:00 p.m. PDT

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is an action-RPG that not only evokes the dystopian world of the dark and violent 41st millennium, but also becomes the next milestone in the evolution of action-RPGs.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr will be a monumental, brutal and grim experience, undeniably true to the spirit of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Building on the experience gained from The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Action-RPG trilogy, NeocoreGames aims to expand the boundaries of the genre itself by taking the in-game mechanics and visual solutions to a brand new level and also by opening up a persistent sandboxed Action-RPG.

The single player campaign pitches players into a grim and secret war among the stars as the agents of the ever-vigilant Inquisition. After the end of the campaign the story continues in a colossal sandboxed game set in the same secluded sector of this vast universe. This persistent setting grants years of constant entertainment, gradual development and a continuous flow of content that enriches the Action-RPG gameplay.

NeocoreGames is proud to announce that a long awaited feature, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr's offline mode, is now available on PC (Steam).

We'd like to emphasize, that this doesn't mean the servers are shutting down. The offline mode is now added as a separate game mode, alongside the currently available online mode, as an optional feature

As announced a few months ago, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr's new class DLC, the Hierophant Class, is also in the works, and it's releasing on PC (Steam) on OCTOBER 17, 2024.

By playing this class, you will assume the role of an Inquisitor who can call in multiple acolytes to form a squad. You will have to use your faith and authority to inspire your acolytes to carry out the Emperor's will, manage them like a true leader, and teach the Imperium's truth to all the heretics in the Caligari sector. We'll share more details about the new class in the following weeks.

The Seasonal Journey, including the yet unreleased PC exclusive Season 6 and 7, is coming soon to consoles as well.

Offline Mode FAQ

What is the offline mode update?

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr currently requires players to be connected online all the time. We are introducing a new game mode for people who prefer to play without having to connect to the internet.

When will this update be released?

May 23, 2024.

Do we need to purchase anything for this game mode?

No, it's a free patch.

How is offline mode being implemented?

Offline mode will be introduced as a separate game mode. You can choose an online and offline mode at the start of the game.

What is online mode in this context?

Online mode refers to the game as it was before this update, so if you don't want anything to change, you can keep playing in this mode with your existing characters and participate in the Seasonal Journey and leaderboards.

What will happen to our current progress and characters? Are the characters transferable between modes?

You can keep playing with your characters in online mode and you keep your progress. However, a transfer between modes will not be possible. Offline characters are handled separately in your new offline account, you must create a new character if you wish to play in offline mode.

How is offline mode different to online mode?

Simply, you don't need to be online to play. In turn, all online features are disabled in this mode, such as seasonal content, multiplayer, leaderboards and social features. Otherwise, you can play through the entire game and its DLC content offline.

If you want to play without having to worry about connectivity, choose offline mode, otherwise, keep playing in online mode to access every online feature as well.

Does this new update indicate that support for Martyr is over?

We're not at the end of the line. In fact, a new Hierophant Class DLC will be released in the near future. You'll assume the role of an Inquisitor who can call in multiple acolytes to form a squad. You'll have to use your faith and authority to inspire your acolytes to carry out the Emperor's will and and teach the Imperium's truth to all the heretics in the Caligari Sector.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam).
