Following a treacherous rebellion, Phaedon of Arsica is imprisoned and left for dead. Freed by a twist of fate, he now hunts down those who betrayed him and his homeland. He must stop them before they complete their misbegotten quest to reclaim an ancient power source, kept within the ruins of a cursed metropolis.
Leo Vennghast, demanded Phaedon and Lasila push Ouranite research beyond accepted limits.
Phaedon and Lasila refused, knowing the reactor’s activation would risk the very survival of their world. Their refusal split the noble houses, igniting a civil war between Vennghast’s faction, the Reclaimers, and Phaedon's House Ourasonis.
As Reclaimer forces closed in, Lasila piloted New Arsica to Satelles Peak, the highest point on Vaelos, to keep it out of Vennghast’s reach. Maintaining control over the island’s gravity field pushed the bio-Ouranite—and her body beyond stability. She succumbed to infection, physically merging with the living ore.
Leo Vennghast claimed victory, taking the title Prime Reclaimer, and imprisoning Phaedon for his knowledge of the reactor’s design.
That is where our story begins...
Inspired by classics such as Strider and Castlevania, with a hint of modern retro platformers like Celeste, Cresata is a side-scrolling action platformer that blends fast-paced combat with expansive grappler traversal that’s easy to pick up but hard to master. Wielding Phaedon’s Crescent Claw, players can strike in any direction, unleash powerful Cresata Arts, and tether through gorgeous pixel-crushed environments across uniquely themed biomes. Alongside brutal boss encounters and a relentless quest for revenge, the team is also introducing an anime-inspired twist to the experience featuring stylized 2D character designs.
3D stages allow for movement in and around areas for greater immersion while tackling enemies and environmental challenges. Add in a dash of brutal boss fights along with a nonstop quest for revenge, and Cresata is set to scratch that old-school itch and set the heart pounding.
Joining the production as both the voice of protagonist Phaedon and a co-producer is acclaimed voice actor Aleks Le (Solo Leveling, Street Fighter 6, Demon Slayer). Beyond lending his voice to the game’s central hero, Le is actively involved in shaping the project’s creative direction, casting, and performance development. Beginning with the formidable antagonist, he personally selects Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33) who will play the Prime Reclaimer.
Rocket Panda Games also announced that the official Kickstarter page for Cresata is now live HERE, offering fans an early look at the project as development continues toward its 2027 release. The campaign will formally begin funding in late 2026 and will feature a range of quirky, creative, and highly sought-after rewards, along with stretch goals shaped directly by feedback from the Cresata community.
