'Voyagers Of Nera' Submerges In Explore The Deep Early Access Update, Confirms PS5 And Xbox Series X|S For Early 2027 - Trailer

by Rainier on June 25, 2026 @ 6:42 p.m. PDT

Voyagers Of Nera is a cooperative survival/crafting game where you must survive a magical ocean world brimming with lost spirits and deadly monsters.

Nera is a magical ocean world full of beauty, magic, and danger. You are an Echo, descendants of the long-extinct protectors of this world. It falls to you to sail across the seas, defeat the monstrous creatures of the Deep, and awaken the spirits before they fade away forever.

As a solo player or a group, sail to distant islands or surf across the waves. Build your own boats from scratch by adding sails, decorations, cannons and magical stations. Dive beneath the surface to find rare resources and hidden treasure, but beware what lurks in the depths…

Your journey will take you to fantastical biomes like an island archipelago formed around a fallen colossus or coral cliffs that tower to the sky. To survive, you’ll have to build mighty seaside bases, craft new weapons, and awaken powerful nature spirits as you battle monstrous creatures both above and below the waves.

Lost spirits are scattered throughout the world, hiding from the monsters that prey on them. When you rescue them, they will help you in return by teaching you crafting recipes and new magical abilities. Each biome was once the home of a powerful Elder Spirit, but they are now scattered and lost. Find their lost shards and awaken them to inherit their incredible powers and restore the world of Nera.

Voyagers Of Nera gets a free, major Steam Early Access content update with Explore the Deep, tasking players with a journey under the sea to find relics of spirits past. Sunken village ruins and even lost sanctuaries are waiting to be discovered alongside resources and special items by completing all-new unique challenges.

Today’s Explore the Deep update introduces a plethora of additions, focused on a concentration of new underwater content discoverable all around the map. Underwater ruins, new depth mechanics, gathering changes and new enemies all await below the surface. Treehouse also gives players a new compendium to track what they’ve learned and keep tabs on the vast lore the game has to offer. But it’s not all relegated to the depths; new land-related adventures and accessories are included in Explore the Deep, enriching the robust content on offer in the unique world in Voyagers of Nera.

A new paid DLC launches today alongside Explore the Deep, with all proceeds going to Whale and Dolphin Conservation, the leading global charity working to ensure a future for marine mammals through science, education and policy. The Whale and Dolphin Charity DLC is available now for $4.99, or as part of a Steam bundle offering a 10% discount while combining Voyagers of Nera, all previously released free content updates and The Whale and Dolphin Charity DLC. The DLC features two exclusive in-game items - a beautiful hand-carved dolphin surfboard and an adorable must-have rescued dolphin plushie. Players will also have the ability to build as many of these items as they'd like on any server they’re playing on.

Today’s updates are part of the ongoing Voyagers of Nera roadmap for 2026, which sees its 1.0 launch on the horizon with the game’s next major content drop this fall.

Voyagers Of Nera is also now confirmed for launch early 2027 on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 from the game’s new publishing partner, Fireshine Games

Build growing, customizable island villages with an expressive construction system. Each base you build lets you refine resources, cook meals, and craft new gear - it also serves as a sanctuary for the spirits of the world. Build amenities to attract and protect them. In return, they will magically power your settlement, unlocking more powerful crafts.

Voyagers is a great solo experience and even better with friends! Play with up to 10 people on a server, add new players any time and contribute through different roles. Whether you like to adventure, craft, fight, or build, every choice helps your group progress. For multiplayer, you can host a game for others to join, set up your own dedicated server for free, or rent a server from a range of approved partners.

Currently available through Steam Early Access, Voyagers Of Nera is coming to PC (Steam) later in 2026 followed by PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in Early 2027.
