The Fatal Fury series first hit the market in 1991, spearheading the fighting game boom of the 1990s that swept the industry thereafter. Garou: Mark Of the Wolves (released in 1999) has, for some time, served as the franchise's most recent installment.

Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves features a unique art style that stimulates the senses, new and familiar characters in the fray, an innovative REV System that supercharges the excitement, and a host of other battle systems even more robust than before.

The REV System, a toolset making its Fatal Fury debut, offers unique offensive options from when the battle begins. Players can use REV Arts, REV Accel, REV Blows (while S.P.G. is active), and more until you hit your limit and the REV Meter overheats. Balance your heat level and keep the pressure on your opponent to fight at full throttle!

Many classic Fatal Fury battle systems are back in full force, including Combination Attacks, Just Defense, Braking, Dodge Attacks, and Feints. These systems return to the fold after more than 25 years and have evolved for the modern day. Buckle up for red-hot action and competitive fights to the finish!

Players can choose from two control schemes: Arcade Style is based on precise, technical inputs, while Smart Style lets you perform flashy special moves and combos using directional inputs and single button presses. SNK CORPORATION announced Season 3 of Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves will start on July 23, 2026. The new season's DLC lineup kicks off with the returning Rick Strowd!

Native American fighter Rick Strowd made his series debut in Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 (1998). One of Fatal Fury's few true boxers, the so-called White Wolf of the Ring claws his way into City of the Wolves with hard-hitting punches from the past and a new Aggressor Style stance, complete with versatile follow-ups (overheads, lows, catch counters, and more). Rick has evolved into a technical fighter who combines devastating power with a high-level mind game, forcing sharp reads and split-second decisions from his foes.

With "Destined for Revenge" as its central theme, Season 3 will feature monthly updates, including character and stage additions. A new character joins the roster each month for six months, starting with Rick Strowd.  

Destined for Revenge replaces the previous overarching theme (Season 2's Legends Unleashed) as even more fighters—and their vengeance-fueled fates—descend upon South Town's sinister streets. Monthly DLC updates will help shape the competitive landscape as City of the Wolves pushes new boundaries for its player base going forward.

Season 3 introduces Rick Strowd (July 2026), Duck King (August), Kim Kaphwan (September), and Laocorn (November), with mystery fighters slated for October and December.
