When you fire up your favorite game, you’re playing it instantly. That’s what it means to be Game Ready on GeForce NOW. The experience has been optimized for cloud gaming and includes Game Ready Driver performance improvements. NVIDIA manages the game updates and patches. And when a game supports RTX, you can play it on GeForce NOW with beautifully ray-traced graphics and DLSS 3/4.
The GeForce NOW library is ever-growing. In an effort to help spotlight the games that are coming to the service, we’re moving to a monthly cadence for announcing new instant access games. Games will continue to be released every week – with new game launches available day-and-date, and back catalog games released each Thursday – but our members, and your readers, will now be able to learn about what’s coming a little further in advance.
Class is in session, and GeForce NOW is bringing some extra credit to the cloud.
The native GeForce NOW app for Linux has officially graduated from beta, bringing a more polished experience. Linux gamers can tap into GeForce RTX-powered cloud gaming while staying on their preferred setup — without local hardware upgrades or complicated workarounds.
The cloud is getting smoother, too. New optimizations reduce latency when using DLSS Frame Generation, while Performance members can expect improved frame rates in select CPU-intensive games — all handled automatically in the cloud with nothing additional to install or configure.
And with back-to-school season underway, GeForce NOW can add high-performance GeForce RTX gaming to the Chromebooks students already rely on for school – and how eligible new owners can take advantage of Chromebook Fast Pass to claim a year of GeForce NOW at no cost.
The only homework left is deciding what to play.
