JOYCITY, the MLS Players Association (MLSPA) and OneTeam Partners (OneTeam), announced an official licensing partnership that will bring MLS players to FreeStyle Football 2.

Through the agreement, JOYCITY has been granted rights to feature the names, numbers, images and likenesses of MLSPA players in FreeStyle Football 2. Select players will be introduced as fully playable characters created specifically for the game.

Rather than appearing solely as part of a traditional team roster, participating players will be reimagined in the distinctive style of FreeStyle Football 2. Each playable character will feature original FreeStyle Moves, inspired by the game’s fast-paced action and expressive approach to football.

“FreeStyle Football 2 is built around personality, creativity and the freedom for every character to make an impact,” said Jay Park, Head of Publishing at JOYCITY. “Working with the MLSPA and OneTeam gives us an exciting opportunity to introduce professional players in a way that feels authentic to our game. We look forward to transforming  MLS players into original, fully playable FreeStyle Football 2 characters.”

OneTeam facilitated the partnership on behalf of the MLSPA as its group player licensing representative. OneTeam specializes in connecting game developers and other partners with the collective name, image and likeness rights of professional athletes.

Freestyle Football 2 is planned for PS5, Xbox and PC (Steam).
