'Soulcalibur IV' (PS3/X360) Gets Secret Apprentice

Swords will be honed and weapons optimized in Namco Bandai's Soulcalibur IV. Delivering new gameplay modes, characters and enhanced features with unprecedented 3D modeling and animation, Soulcalibur IV will be the definitive fighting game experience. Yoda and Darth Vader are not the only playable Star Wars characters in SC IV as Namco Bandai revealed the Secret Apprentice from Lucasarts' Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be included on both platforms.

Sony has rolled out new PlayStation Store content, Rock Band gets Disturbed and Jimmy Buffett pack (3 songs each), Guitar Hero III gets Motorhead Track Pack ($6.25), and God of War II's The End Begins (to Rock) for free, the first issue of SCEA's monthly interactive video production Qore, Capcom's Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 ($9.99), Tiki Games' top-down arcade shooter Novastrike ($9.99), demos for Civilization Revolution, Battlefield: Bad Company, and NASCAR 09. And of course there are also the usual game/movie trailers, PS3 themes and Wallpapers.

Take-Two Q2 2008 Result Reveals 'Grand Theft Auto IV' (X360) DLC Delay

Take-Two's Q2 2008 financial results revealed its net revenue more than doubled compared to last year (from $205.4 million to $539.8 million), not surprisingly led by GTA IV which has sold 8.5 million copies so far. Bad news for X360 owners as the platform exclusive content updates are getting pushed until Q1 2009 (between Nov 1, 2008 and Jan. 31, 2009), "in order to provide a better balance in Take-Two's release schedule." Bioshock, which so far has sold 2.2 million copies, will become a trilogy as Take Two CEO Zelnick hints at a 3rd title in the franchise to coincide with the, previously rumored, but now confirmed movie.
