SCi Returns to Profitability, Delays PS3 Development

SCi said the new Tomb Raider and Hitman titles helped it to swing back to profitability, as its its core earnings reached $54.58 million in the year to June 30, with a pretax profit of 179.1 million. SCi said that Sony's recent decision to delay the European launch of the PS3 until March 2007 has no affect as it has no plans to release any game on the platform until 2008.

According to our colleagues over at 4players.de MGM is preparing to make an announcement in November regarding Stargate SG 1: The Alliance, not to be confused with the MMO Stargate Worlds. Originally developed by Perception, it was cancelled by publisher JoWood due to disappointing quality which sparked a going back and forth who actually had the rights to the game or not. Everything has been quiet since, but according to sources Stargate SG 1: The Alliance has been at another, yet undisclosed, developer. More details shortly ...
