Planetwide Games has entered into a multi-year licensing deal with Marvel Entertainment to create new content for its Comic Book Creator, based on classic Marvel ’s characters such as the X-Men, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Hulk, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, The Punisher, Captain America, Thor, The Avengers, and Dr. Octopus to name a few.

While there has not yet been any official announcement, Trusty Bell is Namco Bandai's upcoming RPG, currently only scheduled for Japan. In Trusty Bell you live in an imaginary world by famous composer Frédéric Chopin, where you have to save a young girl Polka, who suffers from terrible sickness, which only Chopin can cure.

Hellgate: London is an RPG set in the immersive first-person perspective. With a completely randomized world that offers a unique experience every time you play, Hellgate: London introduces a demon-ridden place where the last survivors of the human race must meld science and magic to survive.

While it isn't really an official announcement, the latest Battlefield newsletter reveals that, if it stays on schedule, DICE's newest Battlefield 2142 is currently slated for release October 2006. "DICE is pleased that to announce we will be rewarding our loyal BF2 community by giving them exclusive benefits for enlisting with Battlefield 2142 when it comes out this October."

id Software has updated its official website with details about the upcoming Quake 4 v1.3 patch, which will generally address various multiplayer issues brought to id's attention by the community. Estimated to be released before QuakeCon, the patch will include a new multiplayer mode, new maps, and new weapon as well as new features and gameplay changes, which will provide a faster, smoother, and more highly competitive experience.

Microsoft's Gears of War product page has been updated to reflect a change in release date, from Q4 2006 to the more precise October 2, 2006. EBGames also has that same date, but whether this is actually official or a misprint is not clear at this point.

A job listing on the official Treyarch website, known for Spider-Man 2 and currently working on Call of Duty 3, reveals that the Activision internal development studio is working on a next-gen James Bond title. Last month Activision announced that it had signed a deal with MGM to take over the Bond license, formerly owned by EA. Treyarch is looking for a Gameplay Designer for their upcoming Bond title. Activision declined to give any further specifics on the matter, so details on scheduled release date or specific platforms will be announced later.

Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception will feature a limited amount of flyable planes such as F/A-18 Hornet, Su-27 and the MiG-29, and the same group of countries are still waging war.
