Tomorrow Valve will release the promised update to Counter-Strike: Source. Along with a new hostage rescue map Valve's been working on (cs_compound), Turtle Rock Studios has been working on getting de_train converted over to CS:S. Along with the two new maps, there are a number of fixes to the bots in Counter-Strike, an enhancement to the radar to display your current location in the map, and a fix for Half-Life 2: Deathmatch where players are disguising themselves as headcrabs, filing cabinets, and other invalid models.

EA announced today that in February 28 it will release a new v1.03 patch for its latest C&C title, C&C Generals: Zero Hour. This update will will fix several technical problems and cheats and "will dynamically change the balance of the game based upon the combined deep analysis and feedback from these avid fans. Intelligence also reports that the recently released ACETON-Balancing-Modification, developed exclusively by gamers and known extremely well within the community, helped to underline the core design of the patch." Of course we will have the patch available on our fileserver network when its released.

Microsoft today announced that new content for MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf, the popular 'Mech combat game for Xbox, is now available for download via Xbox Live. This round of free content consists of two maps that were originally featured in the Limited Edition; each playable via System Link, split-screen and Xbox Live. The first map, Mountain High, supports five game types: Team Destruction, Check It, Snatch it, Base War and Grinder. The second map, Troubled Waters, is playable in multiplayer Destruction mode and can also be played by either one or two gamers in the offline Grinder mode.
