Namco has revealed that it is working on a sequel to its recently released Katamari Damacy. In an investor report on its official website Katamari Damacy 2 was listed as "in development/coming" title, even with a tentative 2005 release date. No additional information was disclosed, but with the cat out of the bag, we could expect an official announcement in the near future.

The relationship between Jerry Bruckheimer and video game creator American McGee grew even closer with the news that McGee will write the script for the film adaptation of his video game "Oz." Bruckheimer has the option for a trilogy of Walt Disney Co. films based on the property, which is a prequel to the classic L. Frank Baum book "The Wizard of Oz."

Massive Entertainment has released a new multiplayer map or its sci-gi RTS Ground Control II: Operation Exodus. This Water Ways bonus map, created by Massive's Andreas Palmgren, needs to be installed in the standalone copy in the game's Custom_Maps folder. German site Gamesweb made a quick phonecall to their local Activision office and receive word that Troika is working on a patch for their just released action/RPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. No specific release date was ,mentioned yet bit the update is supposed to address various performance issues and other glitches.

A few days ago we revealed that KD-Labs has formed a new label KDV Games and today they announced the signing of a deal which will see Codemasters publish their first, yet unannounced, title. Following a successful growth of the interactive business, developer and publisher Paradox Entertainment announces the formation of a new company: Paradox Interactive. The new entity will be handling all of the interactive business previously dealt with by Paradox Entertainment. Paradox Interactive will continue to build on their renowned franchises including Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings. The first game to be released under the new name is the much awaited Grand Strategy title Hearts of Iron 2, sequel to the acclaimed Hearts of Iron.
