New 'Vietcong' MP Map

There is a new Vietcong multiplayer map available for download "14.52 MB". This new map is to be used with the full version of Vietcong v1.30 and is playable as ATG, CTF, DM, TDM for up to 16 players and Coop for 6 players.. Grab it here!

Final Fantasy VII at TGS?

Japanese gaming website Game Antenna has the first information on what could be a massive relevation at this month's Tokyo Game Show - a remake of or sequel to Final Fantasy VII might appear at the event (thanks Exodus).

Though it's generally believed that Square Enix is set to show off Final Fantasy XII, since the game is still scheduled to be released by April 2004, rumblings out of Japan seem to indicate that the company may have one more ace up its sleeve: some new version of FFVII. While they can't confirm or deny these rumors, it is an interesting thought and something that has been speculated by critics and hinted by developers for quite some time.

The Tokyo Game Show takes place in Tokyo, Japan, from September 26 to September 28.

Curse is a dramatic horror action adventure based around the mysterious disappearance from a museum of a priceless Egyptian statuette "The Eye Of Isis". The statuette is protected by an ancient and evil curse that causes madness or violent death to all who come into contact with it. The curse manifests itself by raising diabolical mummified dead to exact violent revenge on the idols desecraters. The main object of the game is to recover the missing statue and return it via train and then cargo steam-ship to the heart of the pyramid from where it was originally removed. Got Game Entertainment today confirmed that their upcoming adventure of murder and mystery, "Conspiracies", will be packaged to include the game in both DVD and CD formats. Steam Beta Ends, Full Version Ships Next Week

The Steam Beta has delivered several Valve games and popular Half-Life MODs to over 300,000 gamers, and will come to a close Tuesday evening (Pacific Daylight Time). The first full version of Steam, Valve's broadband platform for the delivery and management of digital content, will launch at 11 am PDT on Wednesday. Set up installers for the full version, which will be free of charge to existing Half-Life and Counter-Strike players, will be available from www.steampowered.com and leading game sites.

Published by Wizards of the Coast, the World of Greyhawk, remains one of the most popular Dungeons & Dragons® campaign settings of all time and will make its first interactive appearance with the September 23rd release of The Temple of Elemental Evil. The 31st century comes to virtual life with the assistance of Matt Groening who served as Executive Game Designer throughout the development of the video game. It's a golden day over at Electronic Arts as today they have announced that not only their 3rd person action game Freedom Fighters went gold, expected in stores September 25th for PC, PS2, NGC & Xbox, but also the Simcity 4 expansion pack "Rush Hour" hit gold status and is exptected to appear on store shelves around September 22. In Rush Hour you take complete charge of vehicles on the streets of your city. Is the fire engine stuck in traffic on its way to a four-alarm fire? 'Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs. Death' Gets Delayed

Rebellion, developer of the forthcoming Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs. Death for PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube announced today that due to a duplication error at a third party, unfinished beta builds of the game have been sent out for review as 'finished' games to a number of magazines across PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox formats. It has also been announced that the release date for Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs. Death on PC, PS2 and Xbox has now been moved back to the early part of October. A specific release date will be announced when it is confirmed. Currently the GameCube release date of 21 November is unaffected.
