Knights of the Old Republic, will debut on the Xbox video game system this fall and release on PC early 2003. 'The Sims Online' - Delayed?

Wired.com reports that the most hotly anticipated, breathlessly hyped game of the year may not make it into gamers' stockings. The virtual suburban world of The Sims Online was supposed to be in stores in November, according to published reports. But the game's creator, Will Wright, said last week the release was pushed back to Dec. 18, as programmers tried to work out the kinks in the game's economic system. And, he added, the game might not ship until after yuletide.

Flying Rock Enterprises have updated the official Ace of Angels website with a beta report detailing a their latest beta stress test that took place over the weekend. They talk about what components seemed to work well, which components are still a bit buggy and how the overall game is shaping up. Enigma: Rising Tide is an exciting, massively-multiplayer game featuring fast-paced ship-to-ship battles with very high player densities. Enigma: Rising Tide will unfold a detailed backstory in which three Great Power "Empires" wage war against each other using submarines, destroyers, destroyer escorts, corvettes, tankers, merchantmen, and aircraft. Alawar Entertainment has released a few new things of interest to the gaming public today including an updated demo of Brickshooter, and a free level pack for its Gold Sprinter game. Gold Sprinter is a classic 2D platformer, while Brickshooter is a classic game similar to Breakout. You can find demos for both games, along with a bunch of other classic games, over at the Alawar site (thanks GamespyDaily). What can i say, its a slow news day ;)

French-Canadian publisher Microids has commissioned Scandinavian game developer UDS to develop an action sports game called “Tennis Masters Series 2003” (TMS 2003) for PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. TMS 2003 is the Tennis Masters Series’ official licence and the release is expected early next year.
