Zero Tolerance For Eidos' Copyright Infringement

by Rainier on Nov. 18, 2005 @ 2:50 p.m. PST | Filed under News

As it turns out that name change wasn't a very good idea as back in 1994 there was a Megadrive game with that same name, from developer Technopop. Somebody forgot to do their homework and check with the registration, resulting in Eidos getting sued for Copyright Infringement in North America and will have to explain its case before the U.S. Patent Office. Whether this legal action will have an impact on the title's release date is not known, no Eidos representative could be reached for comment.
