'Prey' No Longer Cancelled?

CNN's Game Over column brings us quite a surprise in its forward look at E3 titles, as they have received information about a possibility of 3D Realms' long-cancelled Prey getting re-announced at the world's biggest gaming event in LA. "The show's biggest surprise, though, will likely be the revelation of Prey. The game, originally about a Native American who fights several nefarious alien races, was thought to be cancelled, but quietly restarted a few years ago. The new version will use the Doom 3 graphics engine and is said to be a visually striking title. There's no word on whether the story has changed. 3D Realms originally worked on Prey, but word is they have handed development to a third party and are overseeing work on the game." Coded Arms is a first person shooter in where you take the role of a computer hacker who infiltrates the abandoned virtual reality system. Gamers will use weapons and power-ups that they discover while exploring the expansive single player mode. Coded Arms will also utilize the PSP handheld system's wireless capabilities for multiplayer action for up to four people.

Sean Connery Signs On For 'From Russia With Love'

Reuters is confirming the recent rumors that the original James Bond of the big screen, Sean Connery, has agreed to reprise his role as Agent 007 for Electronic Arts' upcoming video game version of From Russia With Love. Connery will record dialogue for the game, and his likeness will appear as it did in MGM's 1963 hit movie, his second outing as the suave British super spy.
