Majorem Ltd., developer of "Ballerium", today officially announced the performers to compose the music for the title. Majorem's announcement came as a surprise after previously signing up the well-known "Infected Mushroom" to compose the game's soundtrack. According to the agreement between the two, Uranium will compose seven different soundtracks, one for each race in the game.

Eidos has launched the official website for Ion Storm's action-stealth title Thief: Deadly Shadows. In Thief: Deadly Shadows, players once again take on the role of Garrett where in his efforts to prevent this approaching Dark Age, he has inadvertently roused an ancient hidden evil. Microsoft has issued a new patch for Gearbox/Bungie's first person shooter Halo: Combat Evolved. This upgrade brings your retail copy to v1.04 and addresses a rare crash bug that could occur if a malicious individual (hacker) purposely tries to exploit the GameSpy CDKey SDK. Dreamcatcher has revealed details regarding the pre-order deal they are offering for People Can Fly's upcoming FPS Painkiller. People who decide to pre-order the game at Gamestop or EBGames will be treated to a freee t-shirt, or if you opt for BestBuy & Futureshop (Canada) you will get a 3 level singleplayer demo (as soon as you put in the order of course, would be retarded if it shipped with the game now wouldn't it :) If that still doesnt sound good enough, CompUSA not only offers a t-shirt but also automagically allows you to enter an online Painkiller tournament ( April 26 - July 15) with no less than $5,000 cash to win or Alienware material.

'America's Army' - 'No' Patch Coming Tomorrow

The official America's Army website has word that a new patch for the US Army's Unreal engine powered shooter will be released tomorrow. The update will be rather small as it only fixes a few minor problems such as correcting client and server-side flooding issues, Sniper rifle bug from the weapon selection removed, Admin Spectator Mode added, Community Game Server Support added, and a few other things (thanks Blues).

UPDATE : seems this update was a "wrong" date issue and a repost of an old article. No patch coming ...

Epic has released the Unreal Tournament 2004 official demo includes five playable game modes, and offers fans their first taste of Unreal Tournament 2004’s two new game modes: the introduction of the hyper-charged Onslaught mode and the return of the fan-favorite Assault mode, which last appeared in the original Unreal Tournament.
