Westwood just released the new patches for Command & Conquer Renegade, upgrading the English, German, French, Chinese, Japanese and Korean version of their recently released 3D action game to v1.030. They add several airborne units, two new maps (specifically made for the new additions), and several other tweak and changes. 2.0 is almost done and I think we will begin internal testing tomorrow. If all goes well, we will get some of you on board to help us fill a few servers and stress it for a bit before we release it. Testing should take at least a week because we will be very careful that we do not create any new bugs before we release it (thanks blues).

Activision, Inc. confirmed today that Treyarch is in development on a Minority Report game for the PlayStation2 , the Xbox and Nintendo GameCube. Inspired by Steven Spielberg’s upcoming feature film, “Minority Report,” a 20th Century Fox and Dreamworks co-production starring Tom Cruise slated for release on June 21, the Minority Report video game puts players in the role of a PreCrime Police Officer wrongfully accused of murder. Throughout the 3rd person action/adventure game, players will explore many of the locations from the film, as well as make use of advanced weapons and gadgets straight out of the movie in an attempt to clear their name. Minority Report the game will be released in the winter of 2002 and has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
