Activision, Inc. confirmed today that Treyarch is in development on a Minority Report game for the PlayStation2 , the Xbox and Nintendo GameCube. Inspired by Steven Spielberg’s upcoming feature film, “Minority Report,” a 20th Century Fox and Dreamworks co-production starring Tom Cruise slated for release on June 21, the Minority Report video game puts players in the role of a PreCrime Police Officer wrongfully accused of murder. Throughout the 3rd person action/adventure game, players will explore many of the locations from the film, as well as make use of advanced weapons and gadgets straight out of the movie in an attempt to clear their name. Minority Report the game will be released in the winter of 2002 and has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
