According to online speculations, SCEA is expected to further drop the price of its recently released 80 GB PS3 SKU to $499 this holiday season, as well as possibly introducing another new 40GB model, for $399. Both models will come packaged with a Blu-Ray edition of the Spider-Man 3 movie. On top of that the PS2 is reportedly also getting a price reduction to just $99.
