In an interview with Develop magazine, Sony Liverpool director Clemens Wangerin confirmed earlier rumors that Wipeout is headed to the PS3. While a PSP edition was also rumored, Clemens did not make any mention of it, although he did add that the game would make use of the SixAxis controller, and maybe also feature online and multiplayer content. Due to SimBin growth strategy a new studio was opened in Falun, Sweden, on Jan. 24. The new studio was opened by the cutting of the ribbon at the opening ceremony in front of a 100 guests. Falun has one of the top Game Developer schools (Tension Graphics) in the Nordic region, and the new studio is to develop full game productions for a specific platform, and is already fully occupied in a project where more information will be revealed over time.

One of the better games on the original Xbox was no doubt Chronicles of Riddick : Escape from Butcher Day, but so far it has not been added to the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility list. According to OXM there is a good reason why, as they reveal that Vivendi's action game might be making an appearance on Microsoft's next-gen console. No further details were given, so speculations whether this will be a remake or downloadable through Xbox Live are going rampant.
