Tecmo announced the impending release of three new downloadable survival modes for Ninja Gaiden Sigma. The first of the three downloadable modes will be released on the PlayStation Network on August 30, 2007 at a price of $2.99.

SOE president John Smedley revealed during his Fan Faire Community Address plans for Legends of Norrath, the first online trading card game based on SOE's popular MMORPG franchise.

During QuakeCon, id Software revealed Rage, described as a mixture of 60% shooting and 40% driving. Rage is set in post-apocalyptic wasteland after a meteor hits earth and wipes out civilizations. You are tasked with helping various villages against mutants, monsters and an oppressive regime. As it's part racing, you will of course be able to upgrade and tune your vehicle. While not racing, you'll be able to explore the world, with a 20-hour single-player campaign and co-op.

Experience the thrill of white-knuckle aerial combat with bone-crunching armored assaults and high-intensity infantry combat in a 32-player, all-out war fought both on the ground and in the skies.

Valve announced it has signed an agreement with id Software to bring id's entire portfolio of PC titles to digital content delivery platform Steam, including most Quake and Doom titles, as well as Hexen, and even Commander Keen.

ET: QW pits the armies of Earth against the invading alien Strogg in this online strategic shooter. Featuring team play, persistent character promotions, day and nighttime missions, and the universe's most powerful weapons and vehicles. The PC version is set for release in Europe on Sept. 28, and North American Oct. 2, 2007.
