Rockstar is bringing its open-ended crime series to the next-gen consoles with Grand Theft Auto IV. While details on the game are still slim, we now know that the franchise returns to New York. A few months ago Take Two promised it would not delay GTA IV from its October 16 release date, but there now seems to have been a change of heart. We won't see the next-gen installment until Q2 2008, which starts February 1st.

Guild Wars: Eye of the North is the first true expansion for the Guild Wars franchise, adding eighteen multi-level dungeons to face untold enemies, search for clues about the menace facing the world, and uncover new weapons they can use in the final confrontation.

Midway's financial result reveals an upward trend of higher revenue ($31.8M, compared to last year's $25.9M) and less loss ($14.3M compared to $31M over the same period last year), with disappointing sales for Wii's Mortal Kombat, Lord of the Rings Online, and Hour of Victory. In the conference call, Midway announced it was delaying BlackSite: Area 51 (from Sept. to Nov. 5,) and Wheelman (all the way back to 2008).

In Crysis, shooter fans will face a new kind of gameplay challenge requiring adaptive tactics and customization of weapons and armor in dynamic, hostile environments as mankind struggles to survive in the face of a horrific alien invasion. Hinted at earlier today, EA officially dated Crysis for Nov. 16, 2007.

Guitar Hero fans will channel their inner rock god using Gibson Guitar's Les Paul and Kramer models, experience new features and explosive content including a new multiplayer action-inspired battle mode, grueling boss battles, a bevy of exclusive unlockable content and authentic rock venues.

A Stroke of Fate is an interactive detective story set in the authentic surroundings of 1940s fascist Germany. The gamer has a unique opportunity to conduct a compelling investigation of the most mysterious secret veiled by the 20th century – Adolf Hitler's premature death.

World in Conflict is a strategy game that delivers action and coordinated team play amidst the war the world feared most – a showdown between the Soviets and the US, with destructible 3D battlefields, team-based multiplayer action and fast, hard-hitting battles. Rising Star Games announced it is bringing Bomberman Story DS to Europe, scheduled for November 23. The new installment in the series allows you to play several of the classic iterations, but will also include an all-new single-player adventure.

EA also revealed its latest financial results showing a lower revenue ($395 million, compared to last year's $413 mill.) and a higher loss ($132 million compared to $81 million same period a year ago). During the conference call EA executives announced Crysis is pushed back until Q3 (same as FIFA 08), expecting Crytek's FPS to be released in November. EA is giving Spore extra time for polishing and tentatively plans to release it anywhere from March to May 2008.
