2K Games today announced that it has signed an agreement with Empire Interactive to distribute Ford Racing 3 for the PS2, Xbox, and PC in North America. The first two titles of the Ford Racing series, which were also distributed by Take-Two, sold over 1 million units in North America.

As with previous editions, Ford Racing 3 is being developed by Empire's award-winning Razorworks Studios. Ford Racing 3 will allow gamers to "drive" 47 Ford vehicles, ranging from futuristic concept cars to classic cars, as well as off-road vehicles and pure-bred track racers. The game will also feature 16 different game modes and 26 separate tracks to race on. No damage model is included, and so far, no multiplayer information is available, apart from a mention of "2 player mode." Ford Racing 3 is expected in October 2004.

Empire Interactive plc ("Empire") has signed an exclusive deal with the Ford Motor Company to develop and publish its much anticipated Ford Racing 2.. It will be released in Q4 2003 on the PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox and PC. The game is being distributed exclusively by Take 2 Games in the US and by Empire in the UK and Europe.
