Already hinted at a few weeks ago Valve revealed today that it is implementing a
dynamic weapon pricing system in Counter-Strike. Prices have stayed the same since its release back in the late 90s and so Valve came up with the idea to gather info on what weapons were bought most, as more people purchase a certain weapon, the price will rise and other weapons will become less expensive.

SteamPowered website has been updated with a few minor details about further changes to Counter-Strike: Source. While Valve isnt quite ready to announce specific details just yet, it revealed that the weapon and equipment economy will get an overhaul, and mainly involves changing the prices of every item in the game - some more significantly than others. SteamPowered website has been updated with details on the promised Counter-Strike: Source update, adding a radar overhaul, HDR treatment for de_train, as well as some bug fixes, layout and SourceTV tweaks, as well as assorted exploit fixes. Just restart Steam for the effects to take place.
