Konami of Europe has announced that Silent Hill 3 - the latest title in the hugely popular horror series - will be released for PlayStation 2 on May 23rd - several weeks before Japanese and US fans can sample its macabre delights.

Konami of America, Inc. announced that Silent Hill 3, the highly-anticipated new release in the blockbuster horror series, will ship with a 70-minute music soundtrack. Composed, performed and edited by the game's producer, Akira Yamaoka at Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, the soundtrack features the game's distinctive musical score as well as four exclusive vocal tracks.

Noticed on FileShack that Konami has issued a patch for the US edition of their recent third-person horror survival game, Silent Hill 2. This small patch addresses a problem with "sound looping while playing." Read more for download links ...

This is the first patch for Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, bringing the English and German editions of the murderous third-person action game by IO Interactive to version 1.01. Fishtank Interactive, a division of Ravensburger Interactive, announces "Silent Storm," a new turn-based tactics and role-playing game title for the PC. Developed by Nival Interactive, "Silent Storm" promises multiple gameplay styles and truly interactive environments for spring 2003.

We are aware that there are some problems with the AI routines and multiplayer functions in Destroyer Command and Silent Hunter II. We are currently working on a set of patches to address the more serious issues. We also know that many of you are frustrated because the patch required enabling multiplayer sessions between Silent Hunter II and Destroyer Command has not been released yet. We had planned on the patch being ready by the time Destroyer Command was to arrive on the retail shelves, but unfortunately we discovered some serious problems that have required further testing and development work to make the interoperability between the two products function properly.
