Voice over ip, giving commands to AI teammates, multiplayer chat, it has all been done before. Epic plans to take the use of the headset to new heights by allowing you to
map your voice to your in-game character, which will then actually lipsynch according to whatever you are screaming into the microphone. Since Gears of War is a 3rd person action game, you will then actually be able to see yourself speak with the appropriate lip movements.

Mark "RumDragon" Bolin: Gears of War is probably what will convince me to finally buy an Xbox 360. The concentration on teamwork by the developers is impressive, and hopefully, it will play out well. From the trailers I've seen, the world looks immersive, and the A.I. seems rather brutal. The ability to use cover just about anywhere also looks quite interesting. Gears of War
Genre: Action
Publisher: Microsoft
Developer: Epic Games
Release Date: Q1 2006
