Schanz International Consultants (SIC) closes Gorky Zero publishing deal for Metropolis with Jowood. Jowood will publish the title in North America and most of the European countries while SIC maintains rights to finalise territory-wise deals in Asia.
Gorky Zero takes place a few years before the times of Gorky 17, as we participate in one of Sullivan's first missions that is a secret operation in the Ukraine. The game belongs to the popular sneak-em-up genre including a real time playmode. Cole Sullivan prefers to stay in the shadow but in the face of a real threat, he can pull out a gun and get rid of all his enemies.

NCsoft today announced the latest chapter to its massively multiplayer game, Lineage. The new epic, called Lineage: Dark Conquest (www.lineage.com), is a series of six new episodes to be released over the next three years. The first new episode, Light and Shadow, goes live on North American servers today. Lineage first launched in 1998 and has grown to more than three-million active subscribers worldwide.

Namco Hometek Inc. announced today that it has expanded its relationship with Hip Interactive Corp to license several of Namco's key video-game properties for the PC. Hip Interactive will develop and distribute PC versions of "kill.switch," "Extreme Force: Grant City Anti-Crime" (working title) and "PAC-MAN WORLD 2" in North America and Europe in 2004. As previously announced, Hip Interactive will be releasing another top Namco franchise, "Dead to Rights" for PC in North America and Europe in fall 2003.

Vivendi Universal Games has canceled the release of The Lord of the Rings: The Treason of Isengard for Xbox/PS2. Scheduled for release in Q4 2003, Treason of Isengard was dropped from the release schedule when it was determined that the game was not shaping up as strongly as anticipated and would likely not satisfy the expectations of Tolkien fans. Vivendi Universal Games remains committed to developing and releasing quality games based on the literary works of J.R.R.
