Daydream Software AB, listed on Stockholm O-list, has signed a letter of intent to purchase Twine Media AB. The deal is dependent on an extraordinary general meeting of Daydream's shareholders. The proposal is that Daydream purchase 100 % of Twine. The board proposes the payment is made via an issue in kind of circa 6000 000 B-shares in Daydream Software AB at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders. Daydream, via the purchase, gains access to Twine Medias global clients, new development opportunities and a network of the leading publishers in game and film

Infogrames, Inc. and Dritte/Vierte Boll Kino Beteiligungs-GmbH & Co KG (Boll Kino) today announced a deal that will take Infogrames' horror classic, ALONE IN THE DARK from the computer screen to the big screen. Infogrames has sold Boll Kino the theatrical feature film rights to the game, which created and spawned the survival-horror gaming genre that exists today.

EA and Westwood Studios announced today that Team Player Vs. Player (PvP) will be implemented in this month's content update for Earth and Beyond. The Team PvP gameplay will be introduced as part of a storyline involving the Progen, and will be deliver to E&B players via special areas designed exclusively for this type of gameplay. Earth & Beyond's team-based PvP will be offered in "gladiator-like games" that allow players to compete using a combination of skill, combat and tactics (thanks Gamespydaily).

Alias|Wavefront, an SGI company, today announced that its Maya software was the exclusive 3D software package used in the development of the highly anticipated Nintendo game, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for Nintendo GameCube, which begins shipping today in Japan. Today Global Star Software has announced that they have signed a agreement with developer Digital Fusion to release an as-yet-unnamed 3D Bowling title for the PC Platform. Although still in the early stages of development, the game will feature multiple characters and environments, as well as online play. The game is tentatively set for release some time next summer. There is a Counter-Strike Win32 server v4.1.1.0c version available as well as a Counter-Strike Linux server v3.1.1.0c version. Paradox Entertainment has licensed the British developer Virtual Programming Ltd the right to convert the award-winning historical strategy games Legion and Hearts of Iron to Apple´s PowerMac. The games will be released during 2003. Paradox Entertainment has previously licenced the Macintosh rights to Europa Universalis 2 to Virtual Programming Ltd who has specialist competence in converting into the MacOS.
