Atari is bringing the franchise that redefined the surfing video game genre, TransWorld Surf, to the Nintendo GameCube this spring with the release of a completely reinvented edition of the game: TransWorld Surf: Next Wave. The GameCube title improves upon and follows up TransWorld Surf for PlayStation 2 and Xbox, which has been hailed as “the best surfing title ever.”

Electronic Arts announced today that acclaimed theatre and film actor Gary Oldman has joined the ranks of Hollywood talent enlisted by EA and will lend his voice-over talents to Medal of Honor Allied Assault Spearhead. Mr. Oldman will provide the voice-over for the historical video segments and briefings that appear between each mission in the World War II themed game. The game is currently under development by EALA and is scheduled for release on PC this November under the EA GAMES brand.

SouthEnd Interactive's first game 'Deathrow' (exclusive for XBOX) has gone gold and will reach the stores world wide within the next few days! Official release dates are 17th of October for Europe and 22nd of October for North America.

Sunny Games has released Brixout XP - a fast-action non-violent game of skill and concentration for the entire family. This wonderful piece of software represents a fully three-dimensional twist on classic ball, paddle and bricks games such as Arkanoid and Breakout. Use the mouse, keyboard, joystick or gamepad to control the paddle, which moves at one side of the board, and hit the ball trying to destroy all bricks within the playing field. Inside some bricks you may find various power-ups that can help you or add additional obstacles. Once you have broken all bricks on the current level, you proceed to the next one, and when you complete all levels, you are teleported to another world (there are 4 different worlds in the game).

Gamezone today tossed up some new screens from the Medal of Honor Allied Assault Expansion Pack. This Expansion Pack for the PC represents a unique addition to the Medal of Honor franchise. Players will assume the role of Sgt. Jack Barnes as he endures the final months of World War II, from Operation Overlord to the Battle of the Bulge and culminating with the fall of Berlin. 7FX has released another new patch for Team Factor, bringing the Euro edition of their team-based first-person shooter to v1.2. Midway Games Inc. a leading software industry publisher and developer, announced today that Metropolis recording act - KMFDM - and Black Black recording act - Trigger - have provided videogame-exclusive songs for Defender, an all-new 3-D version of the popular 1980s arcade classic. Defender is currently in development and scheduled to ship October 21, 2002, for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, with releases for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance to follow in November 2002.
