Ubisoft announced that Hollywood actress Kristen Bell, known for her role as teenage detective Veronica Mars, currently also starring in Heroes, will appear in Assassin’s Creed as a key character, whose mysterious role is an important part of the game’s intricate storyline.

Ubisoft revealed its holiday lineup of titles, ranging from Haze, Nitrobike, to Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and Beowulf. While Assassin's Creed is still in the lineup for PS3 and Xbox 360, it seems the PC version has been pushed until early 2008.

Pocket Books announced it has acquired world rights to publish the novelization of Ubisoft's upcoming action/adventure game Assassin's Creed (from the makers of the Prince of Persia). Set in the year 1191, you play the role of Altair, fighting to save the Holy Land from war and corruption.

Overall results exceeded expectations, but more importantly, Ubisoft revealed Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 is in development and scheduled for Q4 2006-07 (Jan-Mar 2007), while Assassin's Creed and Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway have been delayed until fiscal year 2007-08 (anywhere from Apr 2007-Mar 2008). Seven additional Wii titles are in development, bringing the total of games for Nintendo's next-gen console to 14 by the end of March 2007.
