BioShock is 2K Games' hybrid first-person shooter, in the works over at System Shock 2 developers Irrational Games, combining elements of sci-fi and role-playing genres. Publisher 2K Games has confirmed that BioShock's street date is set for Tuesday, August 21, 2007.

2K Games announced today an exclusive worldwide agreement with Sony Pictures to publish and distribute current generation console video games based on the highly-anticipated The Da Vinci Code film by Oscar winning director Ron Howard, which is based on Dan Brown's best-selling novel. Take-Two announced today that it has established a new publishing label, 2K Games. 2K Games will publish a wide variety of both internally and externally developed console, PC and handheld products, including sports titles under the 2K Sports label. Numerous new products for the 2K Games label are expected to be announced in the coming months.
