The "L-Mode" in American Conquest allows the user to zoom out of the area and get an overview. It prevents the people in getting lost in the epic battles, American Conquest is able to offer. The "L-Mode", however is not only a basic zoom function, but the player is still able to control every and each unit of his troops. This offers a whole new field in tactical combat, as you’re able to organize your attacks in a much broader view. CDV has just released a demo for their upcoming RTS game, American Conquest. This demo is in german only at this point so take notice of that. If you want to check out this BIG game, be prepared for a BIG demo. It weighs in at a whopping 221mb and allows you to play a mission, in which you are able to play on the side of the spanish invaders against the native Maya tribe. You will be able to get an idea of the detailed graphics as well as on the intense gameplay. A small tutorial at the beginning of the game helps you through the first steps to establish a colony and recruit your men.
