SCEA announced today the Fall 2005 release of Jak X: Combat Racing, created exclusively for the PS2. Naughty Dog, Inc. continues to evolve the multi-million unit selling Jak and Daxter franchise with Jak X: Combat Racing, introducing head-to-head car combat and incorporating both multiplayer and online functionality to deliver a refreshingly new experience to fans of both the Jak and Daxter series and car combat gameplay.

Jak X takes place after the events in Jak III and you are in a desperate race to save the world from poisoning, the only way to obtain the cure is by racing the Krew.You will have to complete various types of races such as time trial, deathmatch, time box and so forth, all set in a free and non-linear GTA type environment. You will be able to equip your ride with a variety of missiles, short and long-range guns, mines, turbo boosts, repair kits and so forth. This time around, there will be split-screen multiplayer and the word on the street is, full online multiplayer.

SCEA announced today the first details behind the Fall 2004 release of Jak 3, created exclusively for the PlayStation2. Developed by Naughty Dog Inc., Jak 3 concludes the Jak and Daxter trilogy with a truly plot-driven adventure game filled with friendship, betrayal, death, and a long awaited understanding of the Precursor civilization that has, until now, remained a mystery.

A few weeks ago SCEA revealed that Naughty Dog is working on the next installment for their top selling 'Jak and Daxter' franchise. Not much details have been available on this third installment so these screens and intro movie (thanks GameInformer) will have to do for now. Read more to check out the goodies ...
