Karaoke fans in China are going through a rough patch, as the communist government has
updated its blacklist with a slew of songs no longer permitted to be played. Starting mid-Sept., 100 unapproved or unregistered from local pop stars, as well as Western celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and a 12-year-old Backstreet Boys track are no longer allowed to be played.
On a different note, British sports bar Mad Dog in the Fog surprised its regulars with

Another weekend has passed, and so did another PAX Prime, However, we spent most of our time doing errands, watching Green Lantern cartoon (starring
Nathan Fillion as the voice of
Hal Jordan), and of course some APB Reloaded as well as Deus Ex.
Next weekend is Labor Day, so we're having the in-laws over, and then the weekend after that we're going on a little trip to New York, sight-seeing, visiting some friends, going to the US Open tennis finale, that sort of stuff. Should be fun, especially now that Hurricane Irene has left the building.
