THQ announced Worms: Open Warfare 2 for PSP and NDS. Players will be able to challenge others from all over the world via multiplayer battles using a wireless connection as they command their worms through clashes that take place in famous battles of the past, as well as fictional fights of the future.

THQ's latest release schedule reveals that a new installment in the long running Worms franchise is in the works. While details are still sketchy, Worms Open Warfare 2 is scheduled for this summer and will include new weapons, new single/multiplayer modes and online gaming on both platforms for up to 4 players. An official announcement should follow shortly.

Last week MadMinute Games announced it was no longer partnering with Activision Value, and today MMG let us know that it has joined forces with Naval Warfare Simulations to publish their next game in the Take Command Series. Current plans have MMG announcing the title and release date in October 2005. NWS has a very successful online computer game store where they specialize in war games. Jungle Warfare is a new mod for Unreal Tournament 2003 and the first public beta is now available for download. Jungle Warfare is a blend of realism and unrealism. It features a huge range of modern weaponry and provides team and class based gameplay that is frantic, fun, but at the same time, realistic to a certain degree.
