We pretty much did what we'd set out to do yesterday: nothing.
We watched NCIS, Mad Men, Smallville, Human Target and a stand-up comedy bit from Louis CK, which was totally hilarious and so, so politically incorrect.
While the holidays have been over, we finally finished off the last of our New Year's dinner leftovers, and tomorrow we will be stripping down the Christmas tree and bid it adieu.
Last night was also the
68th Annual Golden Globe Awards, and
The Social Network seems to be the big winner, so it'll be interesting to see how well it does at the Oscars.

Yesterday was a pretty quiet day. We managed to do a whole lot of nothing, just the way we like it, and it's pretty much the same thing that we have planned for today. We did visit some friends to celebrate their daughter's one-month celebration.
If we feel like it, we might make another attempt at seeing The Green Hornet, but we also have a few Netflix movies lying around,
Three Kingdoms and
True Romance. If all else fails, I've been jonesing to see the new TV series, The Cape.

Last night, we wanted to see "The Green Hornet," but amazingly enough, both showings in the time frame we wanted were sold out, so we opted for checking out
The Dilemma instead.
No other serious plans for the weekend. We have some family party to attend, the usual groceries and then we'll just lounge about and watch our DVR.
If I get up the courage, I might even gut my work computer and do the much-needed upgrades I've been lazy about doing, but with all the parts lying around, it's a bit daunting.

There was a disturbance in the force yesterday. As I attempted to write the MOTD, me eyelids got really heavy, and the very next thing I was engulfed in a darkness that didn't pass until this morning. It's the weirdest thing ....
Yesterday, we watched
Going The Distance, a romantic comedy with
Drew Barrymore and
Justin Long (the Mac guy), and since my wife and I did that a good decade ago, we enjoyed it greatly.
I also checked out the new trailers for the upcoming
Priest and
Battle: Los Angeles, both on our to-watch list for sure!
No major plans this weekend, apart from going to the movies (I'm sensing a theme here) tonight to see
The Green Hornet.
