Earlier Team17 mentioned it was working on downloadable content for the Xbox Live Arcade edition of its turn-based strategy game, Worms. Next Wednesday at 09:00 GMT, it will release the Space Landscape for free, while the Hell and Jungle landscapes will each set you back 150 Microsoft Points. A free SoundBank Pack 1, foreign language voices, and a few classic voiceovers will be made available.

THQ's latest release schedule reveals that a new installment in the long running Worms franchise is in the works. While details are still sketchy, Worms Open Warfare 2 is scheduled for this summer and will include new weapons, new single/multiplayer modes and online gaming on both platforms for up to 4 players. An official announcement should follow shortly.

Team17 is working on a patch for the Xbox Live Arcade edition of its turn-based strategy game Worms. Various issues / exploits are being addressed, faster AI, but mainly a problem with 4-player games crashing. Team17 is also working on downloadable content that did not make it in the original release due to the 50mb limit at the time, such as a new theme, a bunch of audio, a stack of additional voice-banks and the usual themes & gamer-pics.
