Team17's Creative Director Martyn 'Spadge' Brown passes on the good word that after many iterations, delays and going back and forth with Microsoft, Worms HD for Xbox Live Arcade has "passed certification and is good to go. We are now working with Microsoft with regards to finalising our release date. Thanks for everyone's patience. Not long to wait now."

Team17's Creative and UK Studio Director Martyn 'Spadge' Brown announced that they are in the final stages of development, and are currently hunting down the last few bugs. The lucky few people with a debug unit can already test Worms HD on Microsoft's Xbox Live developer system Partner Net. Spadge expects a formal announcement to be made early January, at the CES in Vegas. Team17 managed to get the full game into the 50mb XBLA limit, and is currently working on additional downloadable content.

Worms 4: Mayhem is a return to the series' trademark gameplay and sees Team 17's core Worms design and development team regrouping for a game of explosive annelid annihilation. Codemasters has released the first patch bringing your retail game to v1.01 and fixing network issues, including setting up games and improvements to the UI, as well as adding chat in between turns and plug & play support for routers is available. Problems with the "never-ending rope hooking" bug have also been ironed out.
