Using a new technology called the Pollux Engine, Square Enix has created a cross-platform game identical on both NDS and Wii. Use the stylus to control your character on the NDS while the Wiimote will mimic the same actions on the Wii. The game requires only one copy of the game to work on both systems and will be multiplayer compatible.

LucasArts' The Secret of Monkey Island has been a classic since its release on the PC/Amiga back in 1990, but it's still being referenced as the quintessential adventure game. If we may believe the
German ratings board, Activision (the European distributor for all things LucasArts) is working on breathing new life in the franchise with The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, bound for the Xbox 360, most likely an Xbox Live Arcade remake. More details to follow, presumably at E3.

Legendary Pictures has been in the gaming news several times the past few years, with making theatrical movies based on
Warcraft and
Gears of War, at one point rumored to be interested in
buying Epic, and most recently its involvements in the
Watchmen movie and game adaptation. Now Legendary is taking it one step further according to
Variety, as it has appointed former EA/Activision exec Kathy Vrabeck to run its gaming division, with its first title most likely being The Lost Patrol, due for release in 2010.

Japanese film director Takashi Shimizu, known for The Grudge, is working on a new horror title for the Wii. From the looks of it the game is an adaptation of his 2003 horror movie, as various characters from the game look like the twisted persona from the movie. Rising Star Games has confirmed it will be presenting several of its titles at the London Movie Comic Media Expo, including The Grudge, or Feel/Feelplus, whatever its Western title will be.
