Relic announced that on Thursday 8th September it will launch a new patch for Dawn of War through the auto-updater in the game. This patch will bring your retail game to v1.4 and address a few notable balance items, adds Persistent Bodies and Decals! product page on the THQ UK website reveals plans for a Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Gold Edition, not to be confused with the previously announced Game of the Year Edition. While the GotY version contains the original and several patches, and 4 new mp maps, the Gold Edition will not only include the aforementioned but also the upcoming Winter Assault expansion pack (

Mythic Entertainment today announced that they have secured the exclusive worldwide rights to create massively multiplayer online games for PC and console set in the fantasy world of Warhammer, created by Nottingham, UK-based Games Workshop Group PLC. The first game based upon the dark, medieval world of Warhammer will be released on PC in 2007.

Namco announced today that the company has signed a licensing agreement with Nottingham, UK-based Games Workshop Group PLC, to create interactive games based on the dark, medieval fantasy world of "Warhammer." While there is no official word yet, Russian developer Nival Interactive has signed the Novik mod team to bring their Silent Storm Sickle & Hammer modification to a full blown retail version. So far Sickle & Hammer is only announced for Russia, but Nival is currently looking for a Western publisher and will announce it accordingly (thanks Slaughter). A few weeks back it was already hinted at during THQ's latest financial results conference that a expansion pack for
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War would be coming up, and today
GameSpot has a few additional details to back that up.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Winter Assault is scheduled for fall of 2005 and will include an all-new playable fifth race, the Imperial Guard. More details to come with the official announcement, which will probably follow shortly.

Davilex has contracted none other than Jan Hammer to include his original music themes in the Miami Vice game. The famous "Miami Vice Theme" and "Crocketts Theme" will be included. Jan Hammer is currently making his come-back with a new CD to be released shortly. His co-operation is also expected in the new upcoming big screen movie Miami Vice (with Colin Farrel and Jamie Foxx) to be released in 2006.
