Jester Interactive has teamed up with Perfecto Records for their forthcoming product Music 3. Jester will have access to the whole of Perfecto's catalogue, which contains artist such as Timo Maas and Paul Oakenfold. Both companies will work closely together on the promotion of the product, which will hopefully include appearances and interviews from their roster of artists for PR. Both Timo and Oakenfold are massive gamers and were very keen to get involved in the project.

Universal Interactive, Inc. announced that its video game based on Universal Pictures' blockbuster feature film The Scorpion King, which stars World Wrestling Entertainment Superstar The Rock, has shipped to retailers nationwide. The Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian is available for the PlayStation2 and Nintendo GameCube and will be available in stores simultaneously with the home video/DVD release of The Scorpion King film. Sierra Entertainment, Inc., a studio of the Games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing, and Impressions Games today announced that their new city-building game, Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, has shipped to retail stores nationwide. Developed by Breakaway Games Ltd., Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom takes aspiring city governors to ancient China, adding several revolutionary features, including local area network (LAN) and Internet multiplayer gameplay, a first in the city-building genre.

Gigex has just put up access to downloads of a demo for Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, BreakAway and Impressions Games' now-gold isometric strategy/building game set in China. According to Gigex, "The demo includes six tutorial missions set in the ancient Xia dynasty in medieval China, three single-player scenarios set in the Shang dynasty, and one multiplayer mission." The demo is a 130 MB download (

Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. announced today the Fall 2003 release of Rise to Honor (working title), a fast-paced action-adventure game inspired by the excitement and cinematic styling of the Hong Kong action movie genre, developed exclusively for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system.
