Icculus has released a dedicated Linux server for the retail edition of Devastation, the new first-person shooter by Digitalo Studios. The server is compatible with clients updated to the latest (version 380) patch, and word is that running a devastation server is very much like running a UT2003 server, so most of the stuff at UnrealAdmin.org is relevant (

UbiSoft has now released an updated US patch for their stealth third-person action game Splinter Cell, bringing your US ONLY edition to v1.2. CDV's jump&run Rosso Rabbit in Trouble comes packaged a lot like Easter eggs in different colors. The free version of the game will feature a few levels for testing your rabbit-controlling skills. There will also be special Easter levels, in honor of the upcoming season, in which you will have to collect all the eggs in the level. The full version of Rosso Rabbit in Trouble will contain 17 amazing levels, and players will be able to submit their high scores to an international high score list on the website! Oh, and by the way: the levels of the game are twice as huge as those in Santa Claus in Trouble. The demo features 3 levels and one special easter level.

Aspyr Media Inc. announced today that it has shipped a Macintosh version of the popular video game based on "Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets," J.K. Rowling's second book in the worldwide best-selling series and blockbuster movie sequel from Warner Bros. Pictures. The game will be available at retailers nationwide beginning April 16, 2003. Aspyr licensed "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" from Electronic Arts, and Macintosh conversion was done by Westlake Interactive.

Here is the Fallout 2 editor, the scripts, and the script compiler. BlackIsle was were able to take some time and put together some documentation for it (and an installer), but a lot of it will require some trial and error. If you want to hammer away at it, well, here it is. Please keep in mind that this editor is not the holy grail. It was never meant to be released to the public. As a result, you may boot the editor up and realize that it doesn't match your expectations for a commercially-released RPG editor. You may suffer some retina burn. A new Myth III: The Wolf Age has been officially released bringing Myth 3 up to v1.1. The patch fixes over 40 game play and stability issues for both Mac and PC as well as bringing the bonus maps Pepper Heights and Tides Of Rhi'anon into the general release. Additional variations of the existing maps are also included with enhanced unit sets. Purge is an online-only, hybrid FPS/RPG using highly modified Lithtech Talon Engine technology. Purge allows players to build custom characters: choosing from 7 player attributes, 8 science-fiction and fantasy classes, 32 weapons, and 24 skills. Purge has fully realized non-combat roles where players can succeed without ever directly fighting. New patches have been released for the Purge retail and demo versions. The patch fixes minor bugs, improves netcode, and adds UI tweaks and features to simplify Purge for new players.
