Creative Assembly's Richie Skinner has posted a comment in the official R:TW forums about an upcoming patch addressing an issue people have been experiencing with the Rome Total War multiplayer mode. "Hello everyone. We are aware of the concerns raised over the multiplayer issues as we've been reading your feedback that has been posted to this forum. There will be an official statement about a patch in the near future. Please bear with us as the game has not yet been released in all regions and we need to assess the situation fully to get a clear understanding what issues need to / can be addressed." Gamespot got word from Vivendi regarding an upcoming demo for 2015's Vietnam-based FPS, Men of Valor. On Friday, Vivendi will release a multiplayer demo featuring a large urban environment and a small jungle environment from the full game. The MP demo will sport three game types: deathmatch, team deathmatch, and multiplayer mission. Players will be also able to select from three multiplayer classes: rifleman, machinegunner, and sniper. Of course, we will have the MP demo on our fileserver network as soon as it becomes available.

Ubisoft today announced that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory will include the innovative co-operative multiplayer gameplay showcased at E3 2004, as well as the critically-acclaimed, wildly successful adversarial style of gameplay (known as 'versus mode') introduced by Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow.

Sony announced at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) that Polyphony Digital's eagerly awaited racing game Gran Turismo 4 will be available in Japanese stores on December 3rd, while it is expected in the USA and Europe the week of December 14th. One surprising turn of events though, Gran Turismo 4 will not feature any online/multiplayer mode as this seems to have been dropped in order to meet the holiday/Christmas rush. However it was revealed that an all new GT title is scheduled for late 2005, supposedly "with" online play, although no further information was provided.

Ubisoft today announced that its upcoming flight sim combat Pacific Fighters will launch with a multiplayer mode that will allow up to 128 players to participate in live online aerial dogfights. In addition, cooperative play and dynamic online campaigns are also available for up to 32 players.
