Luckily, judgin' by the hombres stationed in these ravines, I was going to get plenty of chances to work the cramps outta my bones, whether I liked it or not. Wanted Dead or Alive, Iridon's Western title for the PC, has been signed to US publisher XS Games for North American distribution. Known as Wanted Guns in Europe, Wanted Dead or Alive will be lassoed into North American store shelves courtesy of XS Games and distributed by Take2 Interactive. Wanted Dead or Alive is scheduled to hit US shelves February 2004 and will carry a value price point.

Xbox today announced an agreement with Tecmo Ltd for the exclusive rights to publish Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive Online (working title) in Europe. Both Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive Online are exclusive to Xbox and will be published by Microsoft in 2004.

The "Dead or Alive" fighting video game franchise is coming to the big screen in a film described as "Charlie's Angels" meets "Enter the Dragon." The project, targeted for a fall 2004 release, is set up at Impact Pictures, which currently has video game-to-movie titles "Driver" and "Resident Evil 2" in the works.

Tecmo Ltd. maker of the best- selling "Dead or Alive'' series of video software, plans to release the latest version of the action game next year. The new game will be a sequel to "Dead or Alive 3,'' the martial arts fighting game released exclusively for Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox game console. Tecmo hasn't decided which console the sequel will be designed for as it is still in early development, President Junji Nakamura said in an interview. "Dead or Alive 3'' is the best-selling Xbox game in Japan and has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide, a level regarded as a blockbuster in the video-game industry. The company supplied "Dead or Alive 2'' for Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 2, and switched to Xbox because of that machine's better graphics.
